Method 1 — UTM Links: Create unique UTM parameters for each influencer. Track in Google Analytics under Acquisition > Campaigns. This is the simplest method.
Method 2 — Discount Codes: Give each influencer a unique discount code (e.g., NITI15). Track redemptions in Shopify/WooCommerce. This is the most accurate method.
Method 3 — Affiliate Links: Use affiliate tracking (CashKaro, CueLinks, or custom). Pay based on actual conversions, not impressions.
Method 4 — Story Swipe-Ups: Track link clicks from Instagram stories. 2-5% of story viewers swipe up on average.
Method 5 — Attribution Window: Give influencers a 7-day attribution window. Many customers see the post, then purchase directly later.
Formula: Net ROI = (Net Profit after all costs) / Fee. Calculate net profit by subtracting COGS, shipping, packaging, payment gateway fees, RTO losses, and the influencer fee from total attributed revenue. If you pay ₹5K fee and net profit after all costs is ₹8,250, Net ROI = 8,250 / 5,000 = 1.65x. This is the true metric — revenue-based ROI of 300% is misleading because it ignores product and logistics costs.
