Welcome Aboard

Everything you need to build a ₹1L/month D2C brand

This is not a course. It is a playbook. You do not read it — you execute it. Every page is a step. Every SOP is a script. Every calculator is a decision tool. Follow the stages, check off the steps, and you will have a running D2C business in 90 days.

80%

of D2C founders skip validation

And 80% of those fail within 6 months. This playbook makes sure you are not one of them.

Why This Playbook Exists

Most D2C advice online is written for funded startups in the US. It assumes you have $50K, a marketing team, and a warehouse. You do not. You are a solo founder in India with ₹15-50K, a laptop, and a WhatsApp contact list.

The ₹1 Lakh Store was built by founders who made every mistake — launching without validation, over-ordering inventory, burning money on ads that didn't work, and watching COD returns eat profits. This playbook is the thing we wish we had when we started.

The Problem

Too many founders launch a brand, build a store, order 500 units, run ads — and then discover nobody wants the product. They lose ₹50-100K and months of time. The internet is full of generic advice that doesn't account for Indian realities: COD RTO, WhatsApp commerce, FSSAI compliance, Shiprocket logistics, ₹15K starting budgets.

The Solution

A 3-stage playbook that forces you to validate before you build. FIND your idea. VALIDATE that real people will pay. Then SCALE what works. Every page has data, every SOP has scripts, every calculator gives you a go/warn/stop verdict. No theory. No fluff. Just do-this-next instructions.

How This Playbook Works

The 3-stage model is not a suggestion — it is the core logic. You must complete each stage before moving to the next. Skipping validation is the #1 reason D2C founders fail.

FIND

Days 1–18

Pick a direction that has real demand. Generate ideas, choose a category, verify with data. You do not need a product yet.

₹0-2KNo inventory

• Idea Generator → pick 3 ideas

• Category Selection → enter a growing market

• Trend Analysis → verify with Google Trends

• Phase 1-2 → foundation + product research

VALIDATE

Days 19–35

Prove that strangers will pay you money. Run a pre-sell page, land 10 customers, check PMF signals. If no signal — pivot or kill. Fast.

₹3-8K2-4 weeks

• Validation Framework → 3-stage test

• First 10 Customers → prove with money

• PMF Signals → your go/no-go checklist

• Kill Criteria → know when to stop

SCALE

Days 36–90

PMF confirmed? Now build the machine. Brand, legal, supply chain, store, ads, CX — but only because you validated demand first.

₹30-50K8-11 weeks

• Brand → Legal → Supply → Store

• Unit Econ → Ops → Pre-Launch

• Marketing → CX → Scale

• Phases 3-12 (only after PMF)

Critical Rule: Do not enter SCALE until you have validated demand. If you have not gotten 10+ strangers to pay you, stop. Go back to VALIDATE. Building a brand, store, or marketing plan for a product nobody wants is the #1 waste of time and money in D2C.

How to Use This Product

This is not a book. Do not read it cover to cover. Here is how to get the most out of it:

Before Your First Sale

RuleWhat It Means
Follow the stages in orderFIND → VALIDATE → SCALE. Do not jump ahead. Each stage builds on the last.
Validate before you spendThe #1 mistake is ordering 500 units before getting 10 paid orders. Use the VALIDATE stage tools first.
Use the checklistsEvery phase has a checklist. Check things off as you do them. Progress is tracked in your browser.
Run the calculatorsDo not guess unit economics, margins, or break-even. Use the 9 interactive calculators. They give you go/warn/stop verdicts.

After You're Live

RuleWhat It Means
Track your numbersUse the calculators and benchmarks. If your contribution margin is below 30%, do not scale. If your ROAS is below break-even, fix the funnel first.
Skip what does not applySelling skincare? Drugs & Cosmetics Act (CDSCO) matters — not FSSAI. Selling home decor? It does not. Use what is relevant. Ignore the rest.
Revisit pagesEach phase page has a checklist. Come back when you need to reference an SOP, a script, or a formula.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Skipping Validation: The #1 reason founders fail. They build a brand, order inventory, launch a store — and nobody buys. The VALIDATE stage exists specifically to prevent this.
Over-Ordering Inventory: Until you have 10+ paid orders, do not order more than 30-50 units. Cash flow kills more D2C brands than bad products do.
Ignoring Unit Economics: If your contribution margin is below 30%, you cannot scale profitably. Run the unit economics calculator before you order anything.
Spending on Ads Too Early: Do not run Meta ads until you have validated demand organically (WhatsApp, Instagram, pre-sell page). Ads amplify what works — they do not fix what does not.
